The NFPA's Certified Fire Protection
Specialist (CFPS) designation exists to document expertise
and provide professional recognition to those active in fire

certification program jointly.
The CFPS test is designed to assess the competency of
applicants pursuing the Certified Fire Protection Specialist
(CFPS) certification. The NFPA Fire Protection Handbook,
20th edition, is the current basis for the examination.
